It all started when my father decided to sell his D-6c Catipillar dozer along with his greasy overalls and put on a shirt and tie for his new vocation. He bought a Real Estate sales franchise in 1981 and a brand new suit. I decided to quit my $4.38/hr carpentry job at my Uncle Lloyd’s truss plant and join him. I was 18 and full of ambition. Dad was 45 and proud for us to be working together. So off we went, The blind leading the blind, but we finally caught on. Somewhat.

In 1982 I knocked on every door in Mt. Pearl (6,100 at the time) and later that same year I become the top producing agent for Century 21 in Atlantic Canada at age 20. I had the gift, after-all, to gab.

Well, some 42 years later, I Still set my alarm clock for 6:00 am 5 or 6 days a week and still often arrive home too late for a hot supper, but that comes with the job.

I am now or have been:
Rich and poor. Rich is better.
Full time realtor since 1981.
Married since 1987. (Double motivation)

Re/Max Diamond Team award, multiple years, Re/Max’s highest annual award.

Our best year was 2009 when Ruth Vatcher, Natalie Sparkes and Deena Fagan helped me sell 238 houses in 12 months. We had a ball.

I’ve been involved in over 2080 transactions. Real estate is what I do. I will never retire and hopefully I will never go out of commission.
